The 48th edition of the Hong Kong Fashion Week A/W 2017/18 is right around the corner. From 16th till 19th January, the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre runs under the slogan “Hall of Games”. Playful board game elements can be found all over the fairground.

The fair is expecting 1,500 exhibitors from 19 countries to present designs, garments, fashion and clothing accessories, as well as related professional services to discerning buyers from around the world. Among them, Italy, Pakistan and Sweden are newcomers, with Pakistan joining as a group pavilion.

The Fashionable Sportswear (fitness, yoga, training classes and other sport activities) and Denim and Casualwear zones will make their first appearance at the fair this year. Other spotlighted zones include: “Fashion Gallery” which will feature high fashion and brand labels; "Emporium de Mode" as a unique premium section dedicated to present stylish and distinctive garments in an elegant setting; “International Fashion Designers’ Showcase” which presents highly individual designer collections from across the globe; as well as  “Women’s Wear”, “Menswear”, “Knitwear”, “Fabrics and Yarn” and “Clothing Accessories”.

The Hong Kong Fashion Week will feature ten fashion shows, including the Designers’ Collection Show and Brand Collections’ Show. Four designers from Hong Kong, New Zealand and Thailand will also display their creativity at the Designers’ Collection Show.

In addition to the fashion shows, there will be trend forecasting seminars guided by speakers like Giulio Xiloyannis, managing director of Asia’s leading fashion e-tailer Zarlora, Michael Leow, Asia/Pacific sales & marketing head at Fashion Snoops, or Brian Tam, Hong Kong fashion and marketing project manager from the Woolmark company.
