The 42nd edition of Modefabriek closed its doors on Monday. According to the organizers, it was one of the best visited events ever and indeed there was a lot to see. The district D area was dedicated to the topics “Learn”, “Shop”, “Eat” and hosted the activities MF Talks, Winter School and Expert. At the MF Talks trendforecaster David Shah gave a trend talk about ‘Millennials – The shock of the new’, I-D/VICE hosted a panel about ‘successes on social media’ and Daily Paper and Puma shared their Marketing knowhow with the audience.
District A was all about beauty products and visitors could even get a manicure or a massage. District B was reserved for Dutch newcomer labels like Newd Studios, Blouson Noir, AnoukxVera, Aesthetic Stories, Majem, Wildthings, DOYOU Studio, The Dutch Hatter and Afra Amba – showcased at the HTNK store. Menswear was presented in District C. The More Department Store concept in area D replaced the former MINT-Area. Especially for the More Department Store area, Hussein Suleiman from Daily Paper selected a number of Amsterdam urban labels to showcase their collections e.g. Bonne Suits, Flybird or Ninetyfour.
