Once again, Seek offered LOTS of things to discover in between its chipboard structured grounds. To make the appealing brand and product offer more graspable, the team did well in roughly structuring the exhibitors more according to their style direction for the first time (read more in our preview). Especially striking was the strong cluster of (retro) sportswear brands. While one may wonder how long the logomania trend will still last, right now it is still in full bloom and Seek offered lots of different options to choose from – from smaller names such as Danish H2O to the various different lines by Champion, who reported on some super busy and successful trade show days.

Also the Copenhagen-based agency Rich & Hanc, which maintained an own “showroom house” at Seek and introduced hyped street- and footwear brands such as Suicoke, The North Face Red, Airwalk Classics and Hi-Tec to the Berlin shows for the first time, seemed very happy with their debut.

While some wished for a few more international buyers, certainly all of the big German buyers of the segment were spotted on the showgrounds. Also, many more classic oriented (menswear) buyers found their way to Seek to look for inspiration, such as the team from Eusterhus in Gütersloh, whose main business is mostly formalwear. “Although it only makes up a very small part of our business, we come to Seek and Bright to look for highlights to complement our assortment – also from outside the field of apparel,” said Michael Menke of Eusterhus. His team ordered at Seek brands Brosbi, Deus ex Machina and Leuchtturm – which certainly ran one of the most popular accessory booths with its colorful quality notebooks.
