As was announced yesterday, Capsule has appointed Joanne Mohr as director of its women’s trade shows. Mohr will oversee sales for the bi-annual Capsule women’s shows in New York, Paris, Las Vegas and Los Angeles.

The native New Yorker has a long career in the fashion trade show business. She began her career at London-based Online International, then went on to work as group show director for Fashion Accessories Expo (FAE) now known as Accessories The Show. In 1997, Mohr was recruited by ENK where she oversaw aspects from sales and merchandising to registration and operations across the Coterie, Circuit, Intermezzo, Children’s Club, Sole Commerce and Blue shows. Since 2012 and most recently she has served as ENK’s Executive Vice President of women’s and children’s events.

Maloney co-founded Capsule in 2007 as a brainchild of the BPMW agency together with Edina Sultanik Silver and Minya Quirk, who are devoted less to the show at this point. Sultanik recently closed BPMW and started her new fashion agency Dactylion. 

Capsule was acquired by Reed Exhibitions in 2013.
