Pitti Immagine's salons Touch!, neoZone and cloudnine were held in Milan from September 22-24 and presented 170 brands to about 9,400 visitors, over 8,000 of which were registered buyers (stable when compared to September 2011). Italian buyers grew by 3%, coming to a total of 6,800, while the show’s best results were registered from foreign countries such as Russia (+39%), Spain (+28%), Greece (+18%), the UK (+12%), Japan (+7%) and France (+5%), as well as from Denmark, the Ukraine, Australia, Taiwan, the Arab Emirates and Kuwait. The show’s top 15 countries were as follows: Japan, followed by Spain, France, Germany, Greece, Switzerland, Russia, Austria, Belgium, the UK, USA, Hong Kong, South Korea, China and Turkey.

Agostino Poletto, vice-general manager of Pitti Immagine, commented: “Touch! neoZone and cloudnine have confirmed their attendance results and, considering the present general economic situation, they are highly satisfying. The increased visits from Italian retailers give us hope for more positivity and an increase in important foreign markets, a significant driver for our country. Our exhibitors worked well over the course of all three days and confirmed that they met the most important Italian and foreign buyers from established and upcoming markets. Our scouting also reaped great results offered by the Neodesigners areas and our selection of African brands presented within our project “Rhythms of Africa," done in collaboration with Lagos Fashion & Design Week. Finally, a lot of great attention also went to accessories, a highly appreciated segment that adds greatly to our buyers’ boutiques' offers."
