Major American players Jordan ( have announced their partnership with denim dons Levi Strauss & CO. ( to create create a limited number of toe-to-head fashion packages for collectors and fans of both brands.

Named the 23/501® collection, the jointly developed and co-branded menswear was designed to unite classic style with urban flair, and is slated to hit stores throughout the US in March 2008.

As part of the project, the two iconic labels have created three exclusive items: the Air Jordan Retro 1 style sneakers, co-branded Levi’s® Original 501® jeans and a signature tee shirt featuring graphic artwork taken from both brands. This key collectors ‘look’ will be sold as a set and features brand signifiers including the Jordan elephant print lining, the Jordan jumpman logo embroidered on pockets, and Levi’s premium selvage denim and signature silhouette.
