Italian lifestyle brand Tumi launches its first eyewear collection called ‘Traverso’. With the focus on their company philosophy, connecting design and innovation, they created 13 different styles of sunglasses. The glasses’ frames are made of Beta titanium, easy aluminium, handmade acetates and high-quality steel. German crystalline lines producer Zeiss created a ‘Polarized lens’, especially for this collection. The face of the lens is water- and dirt-repellent. The collection was inspired by the most famous bridges of the world.

“With this collection, Tumi expands its assortment of premium lifestyle products and hereby offers a first class eyewear collection to customers,” Jerome Griffith, CEO of the company, says.

The collection will be available in all Tumi stores worldwide starting in spring 2011 at a retail price between €245 and 295.

Tumi was founded in 1975. Established as an international brand for exclusive travel, business and lifestyle accessories, the company has 50 stores in 40 countries.
