It’s been a healthy year for California-based premium denim label True Religion Brand Jeans ( The company reported $7.3 million in sales in the quarter ending September 30. That’s a 78 percent increase compared to the same period last year.

Parent company Guru Denim Inc. reported a surplus of over $2 million of orders for the jeans in a document filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission. It also reported business growth with its key department store and boutique clients such as Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom and Barney’s New York.

If that weren’t enough, Saks Fifth Avenue submitted an eight-store trial order of men’s jeans for November in addition to its current ladies’ jeans deal.
