New York-based menswear brand Triko (triko.com), the winner of last year’s Sportswear International Fashion Award (SIFA) for Best Men's Graphics, has launched a limited-edition sneaker with athletic powerhouse Reebok (reebok.com).

The shoe, which hit high-end boutiques and specialty sneaker stores in the US last week, is limited to 100 pairs and sells for $200.

The sneaker (shown above) is made with brown suede and features a stacked leather midsole, gum outsole, natural jute laces and a laser engraved upper referencing the Mexican Revolution and Aztec symbols.

Triko’s designer, Hector Estrada, says the Mexican Revolution was the inspiration for the design. "I wanted to illustrate how the struggle affected the cultural visuals of society," he said. "It produced a significant amount of posters, paintings and icons adding to an existing rich artistic history."

The sneaker is tagged with the Triko philosophy "Tell The Children The Truth" and incorporates the brand’s signature love of the natural with Reebok’s technical know-how.
