TransWorld Business and the Group Y collective of action sport, youth marketing and entertainment professionals will host their first panel discussion as part a 2010 Panel Series on the sport of motocross. The event, featuring top brand and retail experts, will be held at La Jolla Group’s headquarters at 14350 Myford Road in Irvine, California on Wednesday, June 30 at 6:30 pm. Panelists for “The Expanding Umbrella Of Action Sports- Why Motocross Is The Next ‘It’ Thing” include Jim Anfuso, Director of Global Marketing, Fox Racing; Bill Gage, VP of Sales & Marketing, Metal Mulisha; Brian Cassaro, Marketing Director Action Sports, DC Shoes; Troy Powell, MX Brand Manager, Volcom; Pete Kershaw, VP GMM, West 49 & Compound Ride Shop; and Duke Edukas, Owner, Surfside Sports. TransWorld Motorcross publisher Marc Fiore will moderate the discussions. Participants are expected to touch on subjects ranging from why motocross and its derivatives continues to elude the mainstream to key opportunities, acquisitions, licenses and new products. Supercross, for example, currently attracts more than 32 million fans to motocross in the US, as motorcycle retailers have grown to over 10,000 in the US.
