Sportswear International magazine has won this year’s iF Communication Award for its book, The Sports Bible.

The title was chosen from 1,368 entries from 24 countries by a jury of 17 international design experts.

The unique concept of The Sports Bible was a key determining factor. By using a new and special printing technique, each copy of The Sports Bible is unique, with a unique cover featuring a different color combination. The design agency Magma Brand Design also developed a new typography for the book.

Weighing in at over 300 pages, the first volume of The Sports Bible includes more than 800 profiles of activewear, outerwear, streetwear and sports fashion brands across the globe as well as fashion influencing athletes and sport-specific terms in a simple-to-reference A-to-Z format.

Having won the iF Award, the book is automatically nominated for the iF Gold Award, which will be given out on Aug. 28 in Munich.
