Bread & Butter Barcelona ( breadandbutter.com) is introducing its new fair concept for the textile industry,: The Source which will be placed in two separate halls (halls 6 and 7) at the upcoming edition running 2nd – 4th July.

“The industry really longed for this new concept”, BBB chief Karl-Heinz Müller explained. “We don’t want to sell square meters just to fill the halls. We rather want to present a platform with a selective choice of high-quality pre-stage suppliers.”

Weavers, laundries, matching, accessories and manufactures will be presented in a creative setting. The architectural concept, which contains booths averaging approximately 50-60 sqm divide the space into two different surroundings, focusing on Denim/Rough and Dressed-Up.

Bread & butter’s successful lighting and music concepts, chill out areas and catering as well as stands being divided into small sections will all be part of The Source. For its first edition Müller expects about 120 exhibiters. Currently more than 60 have already confirmed their attendance including Martelli, Mion, Ultra, Okinawa, Royo, Millor-Group and Svarowski. Within two years Müller wants to increase the number to 200 exhibiters. “With 200 exhibiters we can operate both halls with their space of round about 15.000 sqm at full capacity. We concentrate on the best suppliers in the textile industry and need space for emotion and atmosphere” Müller said.

Along with the debut of The Source the Bread & Butter chief also wants to offer an industry support program, including a trend workshop, a forum of the most important denim designers, and a vintage exhibition. Exhibiters are strictly selected, and visitors will also need a special invitation to attend The Source.
