Retail Innovation Group’s private sales club The Clymb has named J. Allard to its Board of Directors. Allard, a Senior Vice President at Microsoft Corp. and a Chief Experience Officer and Chief Technology Officer for its Entertainment and Devices Division, helped shape the technical development of the Xbox video game console and Zune media player as well as over 30 products for the software giant. Listed on The Hollywood Reporter’s “Top 35 Entertainment Execs Under 35” list and on Details’ list of “Most Powerful Men Under 38,” he is also a member of the World Economic Forum’s Young Global Leaders program and a co-founder of Project 529, a professional mountain biking team. “I appreciate and share The Clymb's authentic passion for adventure sports, technology and the value of community,” said Allard. “I look forward to being part of their refreshing approach to retail and industry partnerships as we establish new ways for enthusiasts to shop and connect online.” Portland, Oregon-based The Clymb had its first soft beta online sale in November 2009.
