Swedish sports retail chain Stadium has announced that Gustaf Öhrn, current CEO of the business, will leave the company beginning of October 2015, after occupying this position for seven years. The recruitment process for a new CEO has already begun, but the sports retailer communicated that Karl Eklöf, expansion director, will act as CEO until the ideal candidate is recruited.

Parallel to this, Stadium has also unveiled its 2014 financial results, which registered a turnover of approximately €704.5 million, representing an increase of €27.9 million in comparison with the prior year. In the same direction, the company earnings have increased around 10%, reaching €24.6 million. The company’s milestone in 2014 was the opening of a store in Hamburg (Germany), the first retail spot outside Scandinavia.
