The last edition of Première Vision, the specialized textile trade show held in Paris’ Parc de Expositions from 16 to 18 September 2014, closed its doors registering 62,431 visitors, slightly less than in September 2013 (-0.8%).

The result can be considered positive despite the negative impact of an Air France pilot strike which happened in the same days of the show and brought to a cancellation of 60% of flights.

The show’s organization commented: “Visitors, often forced to reduce their presence at the shows to anticipate airline disruptions, preferred to concentrate on their core businesses, and limit the frequency of their visits. This forced change in behavior mainly affected European visitors, but could have had much more serious consequences in terms of visitor attendance.”
