Sports clothing retailer SportScheck, belonging to the Otto Group, will open a new store in Reutlingen in July 2013. This store is to be SportScheck’s pilot store for their new strategy which is to open stores in smaller cities with populations approximating 100 000.
According to SportScheck the focus is still on the use of multichannel strategies and competent advisory services. Jürgen Habermann, member of SportScheck’s managing team, is thrilled with the new distribution concept: “We focus clearly on smaller sales areas and mid-size cities which have a good economic environment. We believe that our new concept will bear fruits. So we take another step in our expansion.”
The new store in Reutlingen will have a sales area of 1200 square meters shared across two floors and will be located in the pedestrian area of Reutlingen.
