Detroit-based watch, bike and leather accessories brand Shinola is getting new design directors–and they are well-known names. The brand announced recently that Richard Lambertson and John Truex will be coming on board to expand the accessories and leather goods categories.

The pair previously served as design directors of the Tiffany Leather Collection at Tiffany & Co since 2009 and ran their own eponymous line, Lambertson Truex, from 1998 to 2009. In 2000 they were award the CFDA’s Accessories Designer of the Year Award and the Ace Award for Design Excellence.

“Everyone at Shinola is excited to have Richard and John join our senior management team. We believe this partnership positions us to build a unique capability to manufacture and design leather goods in the United States,” said Tom Kartsotis, a Shinola founder, in a statement.

Shinola was founded in 2011 under the idea that its quality products should be made in America. Its watch and leather factories are therefore also in Detroit.
