From January 1st, Sedef Uncu Aki will be Bossa’s new general manager and will be directly responsible for all aspects of business of the company, including denim, sportswear and shirting.

Since 2004, Uncu Aki has been working at Bossa as a manager in various departments and since 2013 she was deputy general manager of Bossa Denim sales, marketing and operations.

“Sedef’s appointment strengthens our global brand, with her extensive experience in the industry,” said Bossa chairman Serap Kantul.

Uncu Aki is expert in international strategic planning and management, innovation and product development, global sourcing and investment. She studied textile engineering at Istanbul Technical University and earned her master degree in the same field. She completed her MBA education at Bogazici University at the same time. In 2003, she received a PhD degree in textile technology and management from North Carolina State University.

Thanks to her know-how she has also published her book “Customized International Investment Decisions: An Exploration into the Textile and Apparel Decision- Making process”.

Bossa has currently 2000 employees and registers annual sales of USD180 million and has its shares listed at the Istanbul Stock Exchange since 1995. The company, represented in Europe, United States and Asia, will celebrate its 65th anniversary in 2016.
