Swarovski Elements hosted the “Shine Your Talent" event in Milan which presented the interpretations of the crystal specialist's f/w 2011/12 collection by ten jewel designers and nine students of Istituto Marangoni, Italian and international fashion school.

Participating jewel designers included Italian and international jewel and bijoux brands, each one applying their own creativity and spirit -from airy silver jewels by Malù, to heavy metal leather and black crystals by Marmèn through pop art style bijoux by Evacontroeva.

Also within the "Shine Your Talent" event the creations for the third edition of a special contest organized by Swarovski and Istituto Marangoni were presented. Nine students designed and produced their own creations that were shown and awarded for the school's end of the year show. The winner of the award was Swiss student Elia Quadri, who won the prize worth €3,000 as well as a week of work experience at the Swarovski Elements design department in Wattens, Austria, where the company's headquarters are based.

The winner's creation focused on a black crystal-encrusted lace application added to a cream silk shirt and pencil skirt. Also noteworthy were a black and white evening dress playing with music note graphics by Sarah Fraboni and a plexiglass dress sculpture covered with multicolor crystals by Alara Sagesen.
