Last week Sweden’s capital Stockholm was a meeting point for both fashion-followers, press and buyers, as three trade shows and over 20 catwalk shows were staged (see our previous article regarding the runway shows).

The second edition of trade show Boutique Fräsh ( was held February 1st and 2nd in the Hotel Scandic Anglais, in the city’s centre. Among the 70 exhibitors were pleanty of cool streetwear brands such as Alphanumeric, Alife, Analog, Carhartt, DC Shoe, Ecko, Etnies, Gravis, Milkcrate Athletics, Neff, Nikita, Obey, Penfield, Quicksilver, Roxy, Santa Cruz, Stüssy, Upper Playground, Wax, WeSC, Your Sweden Luxury and Zoo York. At the same time, taking place in the basement of the hotel’s parking garage, was the New Luxury and young designer trade show Rookies & Players ( Among the 15 exhibitors were the great menswears brands Dirigo, Mo’Cycle and Uniforms for the Dedicated as well as womenswear labels such as Patouf, Sinaia and Matilda Wendelbore.

Selective New Luxury and super-cool Swedish brands were shown at the +46 fashion fair ( during the last two days of January. Among the exhibiting fashion brands were April 77 (pictured above), Cheap Monday, Gram, Ondo Jeans, Original Penguin, 575 Denim, Black Noir, Hvana, Sunday Sun, Weekend, So Last Season and Freitag bags. Since 2007 this trade show has focused mainly on progressive Swedish women’s and menswear brands in the premium segment. This year’s +46 Award went to Scandinavian talent Annika Berger.
