The Italian fashion group Sixty (sixty.net) has announced it’s investment of 51% in a joint venture with the Reliance Brands Pvt. Limited, an affiliate of the Reliance Retail Ltd, to launch the Sixty group’s fashion brands in India.

The companies will first be opening stores in Delhi and in Mumbai – at locations the Indian group already owns – to sell Energie and Miss Sixty, and come Spring 2008, collections from Killah and Murphy&Nye will also be added.

As a result of this joint venture, the Sixty group plans to open 40 monobrand stores in total in the next five years and reach an annual turnover of 40 million euros. With its brands Miss Sixty, Energie, Killah, Sixty, Murphy&Nye, Refrigiwear, Richlu and Baracuta the Sixty group today is distributed in 7000 shops in 100 countries.
