Canadian denim brand Silver Jeans ( has announced the launch of a retail concept store in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, set to open this August. The venture signals the premier company’s first expansion into retail.

The store, designed by architect Victor Zamparelli, covers 2,100 square feet and will carry the entire Silver Jeans’ men’s and women’s collections and a selection of alternative categories such as knit tops, fleece tops and bottoms, loungewear, intimate apparel, socks and small leather goods under the Silver Jeans label.

This move into retail is the first of many planned, with the company having hired Sandy Cohen (previously of Lucky Brand) to serve as Director of Retail Development. Cohen will spearhead the opening of several hundred North American stores planned for the next five years.

“I am very excited that Silver Jeans is finally opening its first retail store,” says Michael Silver, president of Silver Jeans. “This very specially designed store is what we like to call our one-store chain. It will, in many ways, be representative of our ultimate retail roll out. It will feel like a cool boutique clothing store that happens to be one in many different locations across north America - all of them evoking a relaxing, warm, fun environment for our guests!”
