Women’s surf- and snowboard brand Roxy has stepped up its fashionable approach for the next two seasons by working side by side with fashion house Courrèges –founded in 1961 by André Courrèges, who recently passed away– on a capsule collection of technical performance sportswear.

Formed by 16 pieces for skiing, snowboarding, running and water sports, the range employs materials such as light neoprene, jersey and recycled polyamide. “The Courrèges stylists brought their vision of architecture and structure to the clothing line, creating all of the designs and working on the final touches of each piece,” stated Marie Lauga, Roxy’s global head of design. All running and swimwear pieces are protected with UV50, while the skiing and snowboarding garments feature Japanese Toray for waterproof protection and breathability. Prices start at 49,95€ for a beanie and go up to 699,95€ for a ski and snowboard jacket.

The running and surf collections will be available from June 2016, and the ski and snowboard collection from October 2016, both in selected retail stores and online. Six-time surfing world champion Stephanie Gilmore and two-time Olympic medalist in snowboarding Torah Bright will be the capsule ambassadors sponsored by Roxy.
