After debuting the concept in Shanghai, China in 2013, Nike opened up a second outpost of its Kicks Lounge retail destination in Tokyo’s Omotesando area on Friday, July 28, thereby broadening its special store portfolio.
The new store showcases a curated mix of footwear and apparel from Nike Sportswear, Nike Running, Nike Basketball, Nike SB and the Jordan brand. The product assortment is influenced by the store team, which is comprised of individuals who are allegedly versed in Tokyo’s culture and communities.
Special in-store services include garment tailoring and customization of T-shirts, hoodies and sports bras. Custom printing of various Nike original designs or special logos created by artists who were involved in the creation of the store is available, for example.
Nike Kicks Lounge Omotesando will be updated on a regular basis to reflect the ever-changing atmosphere of Tokyo in collaboration with local artists. Indicative of the global concept, it emphasizes the local curation of Nike’s best products, supported by consumer experiences that connect to the local community.
