Since advertising its swimwear on Instagram’s granny sensation Baddie Winkle at Coachella music festival last year, streetwear label Dimepiece has become a fav in indie circles, being worn by models such as Cara Delevingne and Jourdan Dunn. On June 4, the brand will mark a milestone opening its first-ever retail concept and showroom to the public, all in one place in Los Angeles’s Fashion District.
An inside look satisfies our high aesthetical expectations following a cocky store name such as Feeling Myself. The industrial atmosphere reinforced by the black fixtures and concrete floor is toned down by warm, subtle orange lighting, while wires weave a sort of spider web above our heads. “We’re looking forward to having a space where our clientele can physically shop and clearly get a sense of our brand” said Dimepiece co-founder Ashley Jones. “After 9 years of designing and creating, it’s exciting to finally reach this point and see our vision come to fruition.” Dimepiece’s physical destination will sell exclusive as well as sold out styles along with the brand’s full clothing and accessories collections.
The concept was designed by Jones and co-partner Laura Fama in collaboration with design team A-Industrial. Following the launch-event on Saturday –featuring exclusive deals and giveaways from 11am to 4pm–, the space will be open by appointment only.
