James Holder, co-founder of the Superdry brand and currently brand and design director of the brand has resigned as director and employee at parent company SuperGroup, effective from 1 June 2016. Under an exclusive agreement Holder will remain attached to the label by leading the SuperDesign Lab, the company’s product innovation hub. "We have significantly strengthened the design team over the past 18 months and the heads of menswear & womenswear have been driving the design of the core ranges during this period which has allowed me to concentrate on new innovation,” said the co-founder. Both heads of design will report to Superdry’s chief executive Euan Sutherland.

In 2015, Superdry experienced several organizational shifts, such as the departure of its chief operating officer and the appointment of a new chief financial officer, after the former position holder had to quit after a personal bankruptcy.
