MRH SpaRotica Groupé announced that they have partnered up with British label Religion Clothing Limited and Canadian label Hip & Bone Corp. With these partnerships MRH acquires the licenses and distribution rights for both brands for the Greater China area.

In a 10-year partnership MRH will develop the Religion brand in Greater China, referring to Mainland China, Taiwan and Macau, excluding Hong Kong. During that time, MRH plans to open 80 retail stores in the first five years, with five stores confirmed to open in early 2016. Religion will additionally collaborate with top local designers.

“Creative people love Religion, so we put our monobrand stores where creative people like to shop. We see tremendous potential in the Chinese market,” said Jamie Lloyd, CEO of Religion.

Hip & Bone Corp and MRH launched Hip & Bone China Limited as a joint venture to develop the Hip & Bone brand in Greater China. Over a period of five years, more than 50 Hip & Bone retail stores are planned to open, including five that are scheduled for early 2016. The joint venture is supposed to provide a platform for collaborations including a Hip & Bone design studio.

“Hip & Bone epitomizes our dedication to evocative premium fashion brands that forge emotional connections with consumers, with design that’s ever relevant to millennial generations globally,” said Richard Kisembo, CEO of MRH.
