An Earnest Cut & Sew (earnestsewn.com) have announced that they will host the first ever U.S. retail initiative for cult French label Repetto, with a 90-day pop-up "store within a store" at its Meatpacking District lifestyle/concept shop. Starting 1st September, 2007, for the first time ever, a selection of Repetto’s vast collection of over 70 styles - in 350 finishes - will be showcased and made available for sale in the store’s gallery space (store pictured above).

In concurrence with this initiative, a number of exclusive models will also be made available for sale for the first time in the U.S. As well, on display will be a one-of-kind Repetto Zizi "jazz" model specifically customized by Earnest Sewn's President and Designer Scott Morrison, as well as a few select one-off artist-signed Repetto shoes customized by celebrity supporters of both Earnest Sewn and Repetto. Lastly, there will a limited-edition run of Repetto’s two signature styles, the Zizi and the BB in organic canvas for Earnest Sewn's upcoming 'Greencaste' line.

Keeping in the tradition of picking like-minded, strong concept-driven iconic brands, An Earnest Cut & Sew will work with Repetto to create a unique collaborative installation referencing their Paris flagship store at 22 rue de la Paix, and focusing on Repetto’s two most iconic devotees, Brigitte Bardot and Serge Gainsbourg.

In celebration of the collaboration, this Fall Earnest Sewn will host the New York premiere of the multi-city traveling exhibition honoring Repetto’s 60 years (1947-2007) that will span Paris, New York, Los Angeles, London, Milan, Sidney, Hong Kong and Tokyo. Sixty international icons are customizing 60 iconic Repettos in salute of this milestone.

To unveil the retail installation, Earnest Sewn will host an event during New York City’s Spring/Summer 2008 Fashion week. The Repetto x Earnest Sewn retail initiative will run through December 1, 2007 at An Earnest Cut & Sew.
