Munich Fabric Start is about to launch on September 2, 2014, running until September 4, opening the fall/winter 2015/2016 fabric season. With around 20,000 expected visitors, the fabric fair will kick off at the Munich Order Center (MOC) and the adjoining Zenith hall, presenting about 950 brands from 35 countries.

On September 2 + 3, 75 international weavers, finishers and washers will present the latest developments for the denim and sportswear segment in the fully booked Bluezone area. Under the headline "Race and Zen", two trend tendencies will dominate the offers: technical, functional denim with weaved-in kevlar or reflectors versus calm and clean models. New entrants include names like US Group, Denimco and Sartex. The request for larger presentation areas confirms the importance of the Bluezone for the denim community.

Munich Fabric Start covers a wide range of international suppliers divided in different areas.
The Collections area hosts about 600 manufacturers for fabrics and knit materials from wool, cotton, silk and functional materials in two halls on two levels. The Additionals space shows the developments of over 180 international leading manufacturers for accessories and trimmings. At the Asia Salon, about 100 partners present their developments from China and Korea. The Design Studios offer individual solutions for prints, patterns and designs. Moreover, the OrganicSelection builds, in collaboration with the Eco Village, the platform for sustainability, presenting a selection of 500 certified materials and accessories with sustainable production background.

Furthermore, the trade show will offer trend seminars in cooperation with WGSN. On Tuesday, September 2 at 1pm and 3pm as well as on Wednesday, September 3, at 11am and 2pm, denim expert Natalie Sigh will present a trend-setting forecast about key looks, materials and colors for fall/winter 15/16.
On Wednesday, September 3 from 2pm - 3pm, there will be a workshop held by Remei AG & Bluesign Technologies AG, covering the subject of sustainable textile sourcing.

Events like the Designer’s Catwalk, an exclusive press tour, on Wednesday, September 3, from 10.30am – 12.30pm and a press conference on the same day at 12.30pm will round up the trade show program.
