Berlin’s Premium Group has taken over street- and sportswear trade show Bright. Premium, which operates the Premium and Seek trade show formats in Berlin plus the Premium Order Munich, has acquired the shares of Bright founders Thomas Martini and Marco Aslim who will however stay retain their position as the managers and creative directors of Bright. Buying details such as price and conditions will not be disclosed.

Premium expressed its goal to create a new focus spot for progressive menswear in Berlin with the cooperation of Seek and Bright. Already during their current editions (running until tonight), the two trade shows firstly take place on common grounds at Arena Berlin, however in separated halls. This separation is intended to be kept for in the future. “Premium group will provide Bright the necessary support to become the leading European fair platform for sports- and streetwear. Bright will neither change its perception nor its contents. The family-like atmosphere and its authentic charm will be kept. We will continue to focus on streetwear, skateboarding, boardsports and sneakers”, said Bright’s Thomas Martini.

Jörg Arntz, one of the Premium managers, said: “With the influential Premium on the one hand and Bright and Seek on the other hand we will strengthen the fashion hot spot Berlin und thereby gain the leadership on the progressive menswear sector. […] We concentrate on joint processes in the background to make use of synergies […]. However, the creative part and therefore the quickness in identifying trends will stay separated to ensure the fairs’ clear profiles.”

Premium Group’s main shareholders are Anita Tillmann, Dr. Florian Bachelin and Waterland Private Equity, which joined at the beginning of the year to support the group’s further growth.
The acquisition of Bright will not change Premium’s management structure: Anita Tillman, Dr. Florian Bachelin and Jörg Arntz will remain responsible for their respective fields.
