Fashion renews its inspiration from the active wear segment. Collections designed to guide the style-conscious woman from the early morning workout, through to lunch, the evening school run, and everything else in between are on the run. In the States and in the UK women already wear workout labels on the street. And fashion fairs pay tribute to this development by including active wear sections to their show. This summer Premium Berlin will also debut with active wear on its newly created active wear area which presents a mix of smart textile labels and yoga or loungewear clothes, but also e-health and food products. “We cater this segment because it grew over 200% in the last five years, which makes it an important new sector for retail business”, explains Anita Tillmann founder/owner and CEO of Premium Exhibitions.

Active wear label 5PREVIEW was founded back in 2008 in a small apartment in Rome when Swedish designer and illustrator, Emeli Mårtensson, decided to release a small, graphic tee shirt collection of 5 pieces. Today, 5PREVIEW offers a 150-piece collection that includes women’s wear, men’s wear, children’s wear and accessories. Colors, all-over prints and a multiple of fabrications including cotton fleece, washed silk and cashmere blends are the core of the collection. Although the label originated in Rome, it was also based in New York until it finally settled in Södermalm, Stockholm where the head office remains today. The label sells to over 30 countries worldwide.
