Pitti Immagine Uomo gets ready for its kickoff in Florence from 16 to 19 June, 2015. The show will disclose novelties for f/w 2015/2016 for the menswear, fashion and sportswear universes.

The show will host approximately 1,150 brands at Pitti Uomo, and will welcome over 30,000 visitors. Confirming the increasing success the show registered in the past edition, they expect that 40% percent of buyers will come from more than 30 countries.

Major inspiring theme of this edition will be “That’s Pitticolor!” With a set designed by Oliviero Baldini, The Fortezza da Basso will be transformed into a multi-hue experience of installations, light plays, color worlds and action paintings.

Among new sections debuting is Open, presenting fashion products beyond gender distinctions. Key brands include Caterina Belluardo, Dalton Bros, Imp Of The Roses, Kyme Sunglasses, Maison Marcy, Mothersons, Mulo, N3m – Noitremilano, Rumisu, Solovière and Var/City.

Also debuting is Unconventional, presenting luxury underground styles from brands such as Alberto Premi, Alejandro Ingelmo, Goti, Hannes Roether, Henson, Isabel Benenato, Naomi Goodsir Parfums, Peter Non, The Last Conspiracy, This is not Clothing and Thom/Krom.

Special projects debuting include the North Sails Black Line, a project mixing inspirations from Scotland, the open air world and nautical elements.

WP Store is also celebrating its thirtieth anniversary with the preview launch of the 30th anniversary Blue Black Collection, launching 21 limited edition items made in cooperation with eighteen brands. Partnering brands include Spiewak, Baracuta, Woolrich Woolen Mills, New Amsterdam by Mark McNairy, and Engineered Garments, among others.
C.P. Company is celebrating its 40th anniversary for this Pitti Uomo edition. It will present its Goggle Jacket limited edition men’s collection redesigned by creative director Enzo Fusco. The brand will headline a performance event Dogana space near the Fortezza.

Moschino will be the Menswear Guest Designer of this Pitti Uomo edition on 18 June. Palazzo Corsini al Parione will be the setting for the brand’s first men’s runway show since Jeremy Scott took over as creative director.

Born in the USA by Liberty Fairs: the best of Made in USA brands return to Florence and showcase a mix that ranges from classic styles to sportswear and include labels such as: American Trench, Blind Barber, Cockpit Usa, Ernest Supplies, Ernest Alexander, Filson, Frank Clegg, Freenote, Knickerbocker Mfg. Co., Krammer & Stoudt, MSL by Billy Reid, Oak Street Bootmakers, Perfecto by Schott, Quoddy, Red Wing, Save Khaki, Schott, Shwood, Slightly Alabama, The Brooklyn Circus / Bkc, The Hill-Side and Upstate Stock.

The events held in town include the Peuterey cocktail party at the Limonaia in the Corsini Gardens, the cocktail with DJ set on the occasion of the launch of the handbags line Ducati made in Florence by Braccialini.
In-keeping with Pitti’s main theme will be an exhibition by yarn manufacturer Cariaggi, held in Palazzo Vecchio, presenting a trip through discovery and evolution of colors through the centuries.

Gerard Loft boutique will host the special Napapijri Rainforest Luminar Jacket made with a windproof light absorbing nylon that glows in the dark. Also La Martina, together with its many events, will launch Aluminia Wearable, a special polo model with light reflecting side bands and pocket stitching.

Florence is ready to shine also for this edition.
