Puma is launching a series of fair trade produced footballs to aid in the prevention of juvenile delinquency in South Africa. Working with the Bavarian government and the Internationales Katholisches Missionswerk mission, Puma is providing 5,000 footballs sporting the fair trade certification mark for the Club der guten Hoffnung, or Club of Good Hope, initiative to be used in soccer games played at Bavarian and South African schools. Long-term football supplier Ali Trading, in Pakistan, was monitored for compliance to fair trade standards and certified by the independent organization FLO-CERT during production.
