Puma (puma.com) has released the second round of a limited edition footwear collection that honors the iconic television show “YO! MTV Raps.” The show aired from 1988 to 1995 and was one of the first programs to bring hip-hop to mainstream audiences.

Based on the Clyde and Suede silhouettes from the late ’70s, ’80s and early ’90s, the four limited edition styles are dedicated to the stars of the show: Doctor Dré and Ed Lover (pictured), Big Daddy Kane, MC Shan and Doug E. Fresh. Each shoe features bright colors, the YO! logo on the tongue and heel and callouts to its respective artist.

A limited number of these shoes became available at retailers in September. In addition to the YO! MTV Raps collection, Puma will launch five other suede colorways inspired by the show and the hip-hop era. These styles will be more widely available at all Puma concept stores and will feature the show’s logo on the footbed and tongue.
