Pucci, the famous Florentine fashion brand which joined the LVMH group in 2000, has announced the appointment of Peter Dundas to the position of Artistic Director beginning October 1, 2008. Dundas replaces Matthew Williamson, who worked in this position for the last three years.

Dundas’s talent and personality is said to be a fit with Pucci’s spirit and colorful, modern identity. Based in Florence, Dundas will concentrate on the development of a complete universe of ready-to-wear and accessories for the brand, which currently operates 47 stores across the globe.

A graduate of Parsons School of Design, Dundas collaborated with the Comédie Française before becoming a designer for Jean Paul Gaultier in 1992. He joined Christian Lacroix in 2000 and Roberto Cavalli in 2002 as Chief Designer. He was Artistic Director at Emanuel Ungaro until 2007. He is currently collaborating with Revillon on a collection of furs.
