The two trade shows by Première Vision for the Chinese and Japanese market have released their new dates: Première Vision China will take place on Oct. 20-21, 2010 while Première Vision Tokyo/JITAC will run from Oct. 26-28, 2010.

Première Vision and JITAC, the association of Japanese textile agents, recently staged their inaugural show on March 23-25 at the Tokyo International Forum with nearly 3,000 Japanese buyers, designers and overseas visitors in attendance.

The new fabric event brought together agents belonging to JITAC, representing mostly European weavers and weaver-exhibitors proposed by Première Vision. According to Première Vision, business was most heavy on the show’s second and third days. Spanish weaver Juan Boluda SA also agreed that it was a positive rendez-vous with the Japanese market: “Première Vision Tokyo/JITAC was quite good for us and we had a success with our collection we didn’t expect initially.”

Subsequently, an upbeat climate also could be observed at Première Vision China, which took place at Beijing’s Kunlun Hotel March 31 and April 1 for the 13th time. The club-like show welcomed 34 participants and registered 1,556 visits, which adds up to an 8% increase in visitor’s attendance compared to the last edition of the show. According to the hosts, participants especially were satisfied with the attendance of new contacts that corresponded well with their client profiles.

The French edition of Première Vision will take place Sept. 14-16, 2010.
