The Pitti Immagine women’s shows Touch, Cloudnine and Neozone will be held once again at Milan’s Zona Tortona from Feb. 28-Mar. 2.

The shows will concentrate on innovative fashion products and ideas for the F/W 10-11 season.

“We want to be ‘generators’ of novelties,” said Agostino Poletto, vice-general manager Pitti Imagine. “In the last months we have been accelerating our international research and scouting. In fact, we will present a total of 150 brands, 56 of which are new collections participating to our trade shows for the first time.”

Poletto added: “Our keyword has to be ‘choice’. We actually choose the most beautiful brands offering the best ideas in the market. They have to be small ‘capsule’ collections that can be easily mixed with other collections and can help any retailer build up their own custom-made offer selection. We also want to give stronger impulse to accessories through our Cloudnine salon, as well as through the other sections we built up. And, especially, we want to continue investing in new talents and new names.”

For this, the Neodesigners section, dedicated to new designers, will host upcoming brands such as Leitmotiv, Plastichic, Shuella and Veronica Bettini Mood.

Other exhibitors include Lola Cluello, focusing on architecturally-inspired garments, and Claudio Cutuli, offering a special collection of healing-effect scarves made with clay treated yarns. Swarovski details will play an important part at the show with 2Me Style studded earphones and Schield Collection accessories. Eco-minded products such as Shaft Jeans Platinum and Antonello, a line of bags made with textiles made in Sardinia, will also be on show. Additionally, transparency will be part of the show’s features with plexiglass jewelry by Dalia Collezioni, Lika’s PVC hats and Antares Venezia with its Murano glass-fired, artisan-made jewels.

The September 2009 edition of the show recalled over 6,100 buyers, up 14% from its previous edition.
