Paul Frank Industries has signed a licensing agreement with Bell Sports to produce a full line of bicycle protective gear and accessories. The products will be available in the US and Canada this spring.

"It's a natural fit to bring Paul Frank Industries, a creative-based company, and Bell Sports, an iconic American brand known for bicycle safety products, together to create some really unique products," said Ryan Heuser, Co-Founder and President of Paul Frank Industries.

"As an avid cyclist, safety and style are key considerations whenever I'm preparing for a ride. Now all bike riders can bring the fun and colorful world of Paul Frank wherever they roam!” Heuser added.

The full line will include bicycle helmets, pad sets (for knees and elbows), bike bells, horns and scooters for all ages; helmets, in particular, are new for Paul Frank Industries and come in classic sky blue and bubblegum pink as well as black and white, with colored straps and closures. Consumers will have their choice of characters — Julius (the monkey), Scurvy (skeleton bones) and Aku (the alligator).

Paul Frank Industries is expected to announce additional licensee relationships throughout 2009 and beyond, as a result of its new partnership with licensing agency, Gator Group.

The company’s brands are available at major retailers including Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, Macy's, Fred Segal, Colette, Selfridges and Beams, and in over 34 flagship Paul Frank stores across the globe.
