Alberto steps into retail. The opening of their first location is set for October. As the retail project runs under the motto "buy your pants local" the brand will open the 130 sqm space in the heart of Mönchengladbach city, based at Hindenburg Street, at the Old Market. CEO Marco Lanowy comments: "We believe in the historic core of this site and hope to be able to contribute to raising our store".
Alberto wants to open a concept store that won’t compete with trading partners such Peek & Cloppenburg and SinnLeffers that also carry the brand in their range. The new location has an urban concept space, serving as a lab, to test new sales models.
The aim: to build contextual genres, optimum product presentation, personality and proximity to the customer and to strengthen the advisory skills. As Lanowy stated: "We rely on temporary customer inspiration concepts that we pass on to our retail partners ". For this project a high level of flexibility is needed. Therefore all the furniture elements can be transformed easily after closing for the day. With this the label wants to create permanent new impetus on the sales floor. While on one day a golf topic is presented at the event space, it can already be used as a rest area the next day.
The product managers of the different collections are in charge to arrange the assortment on the sales area. Additional, sales and consultancy will be realized with the brand’s own staff.
Future plans include that all employees can at least once a year work in the store. In addition, there will be an Alberto Club card whose owners get access to exclusive events and opening times and other benefits such as price advantages and the opportunity to pre-shop.
The store opens its doors from Wednesday to Saturday, 10:00 to 18:30. From 18:30 there is the possibility to sign up in advance for an exclusive consulting. From Monday to Thursday the store is intended solely for the training of the custom manager or new store arrangements.
