Third time’s a charm. This year the summer edition of ispo Russia will run from September 20-23 in Moscow. About 290 national and international brands from the sportswear, sports fashion and sports equipment markets, including Fanatic, New Balance, Sapient, Dragon, F2, Converse, Merrell, Vans, Hi-Tec, Mizuno, Bask, Adidas and Reebok will present their latest news and collections over 14,000 square meters of show space at the Crocus Expo Center. Trade visitors from Eastern Europe and Central-Asia, the target customers of ispo Russia, are expected to attend the show.

The fair features two brand-driven trade show halls and is further partitioned into key sports segments such as Outdoor, Boardsports, Teamsports, Running, Ski, Fitness, Bike and Racket. Mirroring its German sister edition, the Russian edition of ispo has also installed an outdoor village. Labels such as Catmandoo, Hobbit, Columbia, Schöffel and Salewa will show here; Walltopia will feature a construct comprising riffs, climbing wall and an area for alpinists and product testing during the four-day event.

Hakuna Matata, a boardsports area, has a summer feel this time round. Its mission is to promote the development of boardsports and ski, including snowboarding, freeskiing, skateboarding, surfing, wakeboarding and windsurfing. The typical beach atmosphere of Hakuna Matata, with white sand and palm trees, is expected to attract board and ski community representatives together with action sports fans, pros and amateur riders during the fair. Additional seminars and events round off the fair roster.

Ispo entered the Russian market in September 2005. As the key international trade fair for sports, hardware, footwear and apparel for the Russian Federation, Eastern Europe and Central Asia in Moscow, ispo Russia runs twice a year. The next winter edition will run from February 19 -22, 2007. – MG
