Ocean Pacific will soon be breaking onto Mediterranean Europe.

OP (op.com), the California-based activewear giant, announced this week that it has signed a licensing agreement with Spanish sportswear company OK2Play. The latter company will manufacture and distribute OP apparel and accessories in Spain, Italy, Portugal and Andorra.

The contract revives a prior association between the two companies: in the late 1980s, OK2Play’s management was responsible for distributing OP product in Spain.

Steve Veytia, managing director of OP Europe, said the licensee has "the necessary distribution tools to bring OP back to the top" in Europe.

OK2Play will follow a distribution system similar to those of OP’s other European licensees. Production will be headed by Batra, a leading activewear manufacturer.
