In November 2007, Onitsuka Tiger (Onitsukatiger.com) will release its second sneaker collection created by Berlin design collective Koi Klub. Inspired by the look and feel of varsity jackets, the design of this second collection, called “BIG KOI”, is dominated by leather, wool and chenille.

The heel of the left shoe sports the Japanese characters ??, pronounced “koi” and meaning “ancient ways”. The right heel flaunts the numbers “02” – representing both the year that Koi Klub was founded, and also the number of collections to date.

336 pairs of these sneakers will be available in each of the three colour combinations (red, grey, black). They will be sold in selected stores around the globe, 50 of which will be in Europe. Recommended retail price is 100 euros.
