Odlo International AG, the Swiss sportswear manufacturer, is continuing to grow beyond the borders of Europe. Odlo is expanding its international distribution network to Asia with the help of an importer in Japan. The first Odlo store is also imminently due to open in Tokyo. A second store in Sapporo is to follow before the end of the year.

At last Japanese customers can now also buy Odlo sportswear. The Odlo range will be available in a new Odlo store this June in Japan’s capital city of Tokyo. As a market leader in the area of sports underwear, Odlo has consequently taken an initial important step in the Japanese market. Zenoah, a subsidiary of the Zett Corporation, with over 400 employees, will carry out distribution in Japan. The Zenoah team comprises 15 highly experienced employees who are one hundred percent behind the Odlo concept and will be developing the brand in Japan over the long-term and in accordance with requirements. Zenoah, whose registered offices are in Tokyo, is also a distributor for the strong brands Kaats, 4DM and Remo in Japan.

Overall, Odlo is pursuing a long-term strategy in Japan. That is why Christian Gut, Area Sales Manager of Odlo, is happy with the new partnership with Zenoah. Zenoah is a professional, experienced and efficient organisation. “I believe,” says Gut, “that the market in Japan is important for Odlo’s international presence and that the first Odlo shop in Tokyo shows the strength of our new partner’s belief in our concept.”

Odlo is also strengthening its presence in the Scandinavian market. As a result of the new launch into the Japanese market, Odlo International AG has successfully reorganized the Scandinavian market. The newly formed AB International Sports Company - I.S.C is the new Odlo importer in Sweden. AB International Sports Company - I.S.C has a superb network in the sports sector. The distributor will be managed by Jan Lundin, an experienced executive in the sports sector and founder of the SOS label.
