Williamson-Dickie Mfg Co (a.k.a. Dickies) has a new licensee for its juniors’ apparel collection Dickies Girl. Los Angeles-based Jerry Leigh was recently signed to design produce and sell the line, which includes work and fashion tops, bottoms and outerwear plus underwear, sleepwear and loungewear.
The agreement took effect immediately.

“The juniors’ category is important to Dickies because we’re able to provide a versatile apparel solution with on-trend fit and style offerings to meet consumer needs, be it on-the-job in the service industry or for everyday wearing occasions,” said Michael Penn, Dickies senior vice president of licensing and marketing. “Jerry Leigh has over 50 years of high-level design, manufacturing and retail experience in the apparel industry. We’re excited to have them strengthen our juniors’ replenishment programs while re-establishing the brand in juniors’ seasonal fashion.”

“Dickies has a rich and storied history and Jerry Leigh is thrilled to be involved with this revered brand,” added Andrew Leigh, president and CEO of Jerry Leigh. “We are excited to have been selected to grow and update the Dickies Girl pants and tops business. We also look forward to supporting the category with fashion items to wear in social settings.”

Texas-based Dickies was founded in 1922. It is the world’s leading provider of authentic workwear.
