G-Star has a new country manager for Italy. His name is Stefano Navarra. He has worked for the PVH group for the last three years directing the Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger retail activities, and about 80 monobrand stores managed by PVH in Italy.

Considering his background and expertise, Navarra will push ahead G-Star’s presence in Italy through wholesale and retail activities, both franchising and direct monobrand store openings and activities.

“We want to expand the brand throughout the country,” commented Navarra. “Our first aims include the opening of a few more monobrand stores in Milan already by end 2016. We also want to open monobrands in Rome and, in a second step, in the country’s major shopping malls. We also want to increase our revenues through the shop-in-shops we have already opened in department store chains LaRinascente and Coin.”

Among some of their key future projects they also want to recall the attention of their most demanding customers: “We also want to sell more highly priced capsule collections such as, for instance, the one signed by Marc Newson and Afrojack. These projects can help us recall a higher-end consumer type.”
