There’s no stopping Asics America, best known for its running footwear and apparel under the Asics and Onitsuka Tiger brand names, these days. The company, which saw its sales almost double to $429 million from 2004 to 2007, just announced plans to move its headquarters into a larger location at 29 Parker in Irvine, CA, this September. “Our operations have grown and we need more space to accommodate future growth,” confirmed Richard Bourne, president and COO. “The new office allows for a larger warehouse, more room for product development, a formal showroom and an even larger gym for our employees.” The additional 11,000 sq. feet of space will comprise sustainable and recycled materials in the lobby, work spaces and break room. Meanwhile, VOC paints will be used to reduce toxins in the work environment, while the overall building design is said to encourage more natural lighting.
