Bread and Butter chief Karl-Heinz Müller has moved up the dates of this winter’s shows in Barcelona and Berlin.

The Barcelona edition, which was to be held January 20-22, will now take place from Jan 18-20. The Berlin edition will be held January 27-29 rather than its originally scheduled time of February 2-4.

Müller explained the schedule switch as follows: “Many exhibitors felt very uncomfortable with the Berlin date in February. With the new dates we are up to their mark. We want to position both ‘trade shows for selected brands’ within one week because they are important kick-off dates for brands, labels and designers of upper urbanwear in the north – the same as in the south. So buyers and retailers are able to get through the new collections at an early stage. In addition they could visit all important events in Berlin from January 27 to 31.”

The new Berlin dates correspond with the Berlin Fashion Week, including Premium, 5th Floor and B-In Berlin, but the show will overlap with three other European trade shows. The last day of Bread and Butter Berlin is the first day of ispo in Munich as well as District and Fashion Week in Amsterdam.
