Neiman Marcus, Inc. reported its fourth quarter and fiscal year figures yesterday. For the fourth quarter of the fiscal year 2008, revenues totaled $1.03 billion compared to $981.7 million the previous year. Comparable revenues decreased 1.4%. Operating earnings for Q4 also fell by $6.2 million to $32.2 million for Q4 in 2007. For the fiscal year, the company reported total revenues of $4.6 billion compared to $4.4 billion the previous year. Operating earnings decreased from $476.8 million to $466.4 million, while adjusted operating earnings decreased by 2.4%. Q4 2008 and other 2008 amounts were reported on a 14 and 53-week basis. Sales alone for the 53rd week of the fiscal year 2008 stood at $49.8 million, with operating earnings at $7.5 million.
