Denim brand Mustang has appointed Jonas Niemeyer to the newly created position of director for licenses & business development wholesale, effective March 1, 2015.

Niemeyer will account for Mustang’s worldwide license business (product, inhouse and country licenses) plus prepare and strategically accompany all future market entries and wholesale developments of Mustang.

The 32-year-old has previously collected experience in the field as license manager at Gerry Weber and Esprit Europe.
With the newly created position, Mustang wants to push its growth strategy, get the full potential out of existing license-partners and make new partnerships in general, as Dietmar Axt, CEO of the Mustang Group, explained.

The brand’s potential for successful license business is demonstrated in Mustang’s shoe category, which reached a sales volume of up to €70 million in 2014.
