A few hours before closing its doors, the 88th edition of Pitti Uomo has already registered over 30,000 visitors, +5% more than in June 2014. Out of the total 20,000 buyers, 8,200 came from foreign markets, +6.5% more than those registered in 2014.

Also the attendance of Italian buyers has increased, registering a +4% growth. “The atmosphere that one could breathe was full of energy,” commented Raffaello Napoleone, CEO, Pitti Immagine. “We saw collections rich with creativity and carefully built and collected very positive opinions about what our different sections offer and about our newly launched projects. Many considered our calendar of events very varied, rich and even spectacular.”

Most significant was the presence registered among European countries that all increased (especially Germany, France and Netherlands), while Northern Europe even boomed with some +50% growth peaks.

Japan registered a slight growth, while the UK, the US and China were stable. South Korea and Hong Kong registered a slight loss in attendance. Russia lost some marks, though less than expected.
